Nelson

Nelson Mandela was an anti-apartheid activist from South Africa, politician and philanthropist who had an estimated net worth of $1 million at the time of December 2013. Nelson Mandela served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.The majority of his net worth was in the form of book royalties from his best selling autobiography in 1994's "Long Walk to Freedom". Nelson was an active speaker when his health was good. Mandela was president when he slashed his salary. On top of that, Mandela still gave 1/3 his earnings to South African children's charities. Nelson was married three times more, and had six children. Three of them were alive when he died. Nelson placed the majority of his money in more than a dozen different trust funds that would simultaneously benefit his children and prevent them from further bickering. Trusts like these have brought many benefits.
