Nelson Mandela was an anti-apartheid activist from South Africa, politician and philanthropist who had an estimated net worth of $1 million at the time of December 2013. Nelson Mandela served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.The majority of his net worth was in the form of book royalties from his best selling autobiography in 1994's "Long Walk to Freedom".
