Brian "Peanut" Brown is a 47-year-old music executive from Detroit who, on the surface, represents the classic rags-to riches story. Brown spent 10 years in prison for a drug conspiracy and was released in 2010. Fast forward seven years later, and Brown is now a successful hip-hop mogul and self-proclaimed hood hero who is currently promoting a self-help book titled Living For The Sacrifice: A Hood Hero's Guide To The Success. Although Brown may seem to be an ideal model of those who have gone through difficult times throughout their lives, it's likely that Brown was involved in drug-related crimes. According to court papers, Brown is allegedly one of the largest heroin dealers in the Midwest and his record label, BMB Records, is an excuse to hide his drug cash. According to The Detroit News, this information is the result of an extensive investigation that started after the government temporarily released an official search warrant for federal authorities.
