Infertility can be caused by a number of different factors, in either female or male reproductive systems. It is not always possible to determine the root cause of infertility. The hypothalamus, pituitary and other glands are all part the endocrine system. Examples of common disorders affecting this system are pituitary tumors and hypopituitarism.The relative importance of the causes for female infertility can vary from country to country in part due to variations in the prevalence of STIs or different ages of populations that are studied.
