Anson Williams, born Anson William Heimlich on the 25th of September 1949 in Los Angeles, California, is an American actor and singer. He is most well-known for his performance in Happy Days (1974-1984), where he played the part of Warren "Potsie" who was a charming and well-intentioned singer. His appearances dwindled in subsequent seasons. Richie, Potsie and Ralph form a band that performs at Arnold's Drive-In, among other places, in some episodes. Williams sang the lead vocals as Potsie. Williams's former wife Lorrie Mahaffey was the singer who sang the lead vocals of the group. Williams later returned to Happy Days in a retrospective manner.
